Thingspeak will plot the data for you and give you easy access to use the data in a different visualization.
Mine updates more than once, but it can go long periods of time without triggering a temperature change, even though the temperature is updated on the Twine website.

Is the URL you are trying to use publicly accessible, or only available on your local network? It will need to be publicly accessible in order to work with Twine.
