Is there anyway to increase WiFi Range

It seems like development and improvements on the Twine product have stopped.  Is it dead in the water?
Is there anyway to increase it's effective WiFi range?

    There is no external antenna jack, so realistically, no.  Unless you're really clever with a soldering iron, that is.
    I keep bugging them on Facebook -- they keep posting about their Range bluetooth thermometers -- and they get all apologetic for not looking here, but nothing else happens.
